Round two of the National Club Championship saw two games played at Duhaney Park and one at GC Foster College. In the first game at Duhaney Park, Washington Bulls proved too strong for West Kingston Hyenas with a comprehensive 30-0 win. It took the Bulls almost 15 minutes to break down the stubborn Hyenas, but after the initial resistance, the points flowed freely. Orlando Messado bagged 2 tries coming off the bench while teammates Alex Chong, Oniel Thomas, Mohenjo Thompson and Delano Smith scored one apiece. Fullback Anthony Findlay and hooker Lawrence Drummond each kicked a goal to complete the scoring.
Defending champions Duhaney Park Redsharks bounced back from their shock defeat to the JDF Warriors in round 1 and record a comprehensive 50-14 win over the Spanish Town Vikings in the second game. The Redsharks dominated the match through fullback Javian Bryan who bagged 12 points from 4 goals and a try and flying winger Andrew Simpson who bagged a hat trick. Good support came from Jenson Morris who bagged a double and Kenneth Walker, Tajhai Mailtand and Sheldon Kelly, each scoring a try. Ryan Grant completed the scoring for the Champs with a goal. The Vikings battled hard throughout the contest and were rewarded with 14 late points through a try each from Rajiv Haughton and Odane Christy. Captain Raheem Sweeny closed out their points with 3 goals.
Over at GC Foster College, GC Angels recorded their second win from as many matches with a commanding 38-14 over Liguanea Dragrons. GC dominated the contest from start to finish; they were led by Stephen Scott who scored 14 points from 5 goals and a try. Strong support came from Dylan Davis and Antonio Baker with two tries each. GC’s scoring was completed by Ronaldine Frazer and Joshaun Stewart with a try each. For the Dragons, center Joseph Mitchell scored 2 tries with support from Nicholas Broodie (1 try) and Michael Pearson with a goal.
