Campion College captured the 2025 Catholic Cup by defeating St Catherine High twice in their two game U19 series played on April 03 and 10. The Cup was inaugurated in 2008, and had editions in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2023.
In Game 1, Campion dominated the proceedings 30-10. Cameron Stone led all scores for the winner with 8 points from 2 tries. His teammates Nathaniel Cohall, Oneil Britton, David Wedderburn and Alex James added a try each. Joshua Brandon added 4 points from 2 goals. St. Catherine’s points from Tyshawn Lawin (6) and Zachary Newton (4).

Game 2 saw Campion continue their dominance with another solid win. Cameron again bagged 8 points, as did Alex Jones. Oneil Britton, Jordan Cochrane and Damair Fairclough got a try each, and Nathaniel Cowell kicked a goal. The lone scorer for St Catherine was Tyshawn Lewin with 6 points.
Winning coach Andrew Dixon said, “It’s good to have the series back, we weren’t sure what to expect as the boys have been out of training due to exams. We struggled to find our structure early in the games and we had a few handling errors, however, our defence was strong throughout and that pressure helped us put points on the board.”
