Four times U14 defending champions Calabar High will battle The Cedar Grove Academy in semi-final one action on Thursday, March 12th, at the Cedar Grove Academy.
Calabar will be led by competition top scorer Jelanie Barrett who has been unstoppable with 7 tries to his name.
Meanwhile, last year’s beaten finalist Ascot High will take on BB Coke in Semi-final two in an attempt to get to their second consecutive finals.
In U16 action, unbeaten Calabar, will face BB Coke in what is expected to be a closely contested match. Both teams boast 2 of the three competition top try scorers in Fitzroy Mcleod (Calabar) and Kemar Patterson (BB Coke), both bagged 7 tries each in the group stages.
In the other semis, defending champions Old Harbour will do battle against The Cedar Grove Academy. Old Harbour will be relying Ronaldino Legore who has also bagged 7 tries in the competition.
Both games will also be played at The Cedar Grove Academy.
Commenting on the competition to date JRLA Director of Rugby Romeo Monteith said:
“It’s been very competitive to date and we see the top four schools in both age have risen to the top. We expect 4 fiercely competed games on Thursday and the teams that want it the most and who have prepared the best will win.”

1pm: Ascot versus BB Coke (U14s). 2pm: Calabar versus BB Coke (U16s). 3:20pm: Calabar versus Cedar Grove (U14s). 4pm: Cedar Grove versus Old Harbour (U16s).
